Wolves fall to JCJC after hard fought match

ELLISVILLE – Co-Lin’s men’s tennis team suffered a loss Wednesday afternoon as Jones County Junior College hung on to win 6-3. The loss gives the Wolves a 4-3 record on the season.

The Wolves lost two-of-three doubles courts early in the day. Taqel Lewis and Diego Leal defeated Co-Lin’s Sebastian Osorio and Juan Pablo Pinilla 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, and Luke Armstrong and Jacob Bozeman beat Cole Moak and Hayes Thompson 8-3 at No. 3 doubles. Cory Alderman and Tripp case teamed up for the Wolves at No. 2 doubles and grabbed an 8-4 victory from Chase Pennington and Brandon McCary.

Co-Lin netters fall to Gulf Coast on the road

PERKINSTON – The Wolves suffered a tough loss this past weekend to Mississippi Gulf Coast after being swept on the singles courts. The 8-1 loss gives the Wolves a 4-2 record on the season. Co-Lin is back on the court Wednesday, March 8 as the team travels to Ellisville to face JCJC at 2 p.m.

Wolves win key matchups with Northeast and ICC

WESSON – The Co-Lin netters won two important matches this past weekend at Northeast Community College and Itawamba Community College on a two-day trip. Co-Lin routed Northeast 9-0 and defeated ICC 5-4. The wins move the Wolves to 3-1 on the year.

“Our guys came out and took from the start against Northeast and never let up,” said head coach Blake Smith. “This was a good road win after a long day of traveling.”
