No. 4 Co-Lin set to host Coahoma

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves climbed three spots in the national poll to No. 4 after a 44-0 victory in week one over Mississippi Delta. Game two of the season will feature the Wolves hosting Coahoma Community College on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers come to Wesson after a 24-6 defeat at home in Clarksdale to Southwest. This will be the 21st meeting between these two schools, in which Co-Lin holds an impressive 18-2 record. Sublett named MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College freshman Griffin Sublett earned MACJC honors after his week one performance against MS Delta. The Pascagoula native was 6-for-6 in point after attempts during the 44-0 victory. Sublett also had five punts that averaged 42.2 yards and landed two inside the 20-yard line. The freshman’s 42-yard average is ranked seventh in the nation. "I am very honored to recieve this recognition," said Sublett. "I work hard to be the best everyday, but I could not do it with out my teammates on special teams. It's a group effort."

No. 7 Co-Lin shuts out MS Delta with stellar defense

WESSON – The No. 7 Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves proved deserving of the ranking Thursday night in the season opener as they defeated MS Delta 44-0. "For not knowing a lot of what we would see from this team, our kids played really well tonight," said head coach Glenn Davis. "We have got some players on defesne. We just need to make sure we are playing to the best of our potentional." The shutout victory was due to Co-Lin’s swarming defensive presence that gave the Trojans little hope. Offensively, Co-Lin’s sophomore running back, Ladarious Galloway, and redshirt freshman quarterback, Domonic DeLira, had great showings from the backfield. The win moves Co-Lin to 1-0 on the season.
