WESSON - Ashley Windom begins her second season as head coach of the Co-Lin Lady Wolves tennis team. Windom is no stranger to the competitive MACJC tennis program as she won four state titles during her time at Co-Lin as a player. Using this experience, she hopes to be a leader for the young 2016 squad.  After finishing 2-9 in the 2015 campaign, Windom hopes the returning sophomores will step up and provide leadership while the freshmen class will add depth to the roster.

Co-Lin women’s tennis boasts highest GPA in state

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The 2015 Copiah-Lincoln women's tennis team has been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as the No. 2 academic team of the year for their sport. It’s the second consecutive year for Co-Lin to finish No. 2 in the nation. The Lady Wolves were also named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) academic team of the year for posting the highest GPA of all the women's athletic teams in the state. The Lady Wolves also posted the highest GPA in the state in 2014.

TUPELO - The Co-Lin Lady Wolves season came to a close at the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament held in Tupelo. The Lady Wolves finished seventh in the state with a final record of 2-9.

 ELLISVILLE - The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats blanked the Co-Lin Lady Wolves 9-0 at the Howard Sports Complex Tennis Courts. The Lady Wolves fall to 1-3 on the season. The Lady Bobcats improve to 7-0 with the victory.

WESSON - The  Lady Wolves recorded their first win of the season with an impressive 9-0 win over the Holmes Lady Bulldogs 9-0.

The most exciting match of the day came at #4 singles as sophomore Caroleah Brister battled back from a 4-6 loss in the first set to take the match 6-4, 10-4 in a tiebreaker over Anna Clair Shores.

Windom era begins at Co-Lin

WESSON - Ashley Matthews Windom, part of some of the greatest Copiah-Lincoln Community College teams in school history, begins her debut season leading Lady Wolves tennis in 2015. Windom replaces Holli Adams Pepper who resigned as coach following the 2014 season to spend more time with her family. Pepper led the Lady Wolves for nine seasons and was teammates with Windom when they were student-athletes in 2002. The Lady Wolves went 4-8 in 2014.
