Willis, Pearl River too much for Co-Lin

POPLARVILLE – Darrlyn Willis scored a game-high 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the defending state champion Pearl River Wildcats to a 71-56 South Division win over the Co-Lin Wolves. Co-Lin hosting basketball camp

WESSON –Copiah-Lincoln Community College basketball head coaches Gwyn Young and Kenny Bizot have announced the dates for their 2015 summer basketball camp. An individual camp for boys and girls grades 1-6 will be held May 27-28 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Fundamentals will be taught to each camper in a pleasant learning environment regardless of the camper's level of ability. The cost is $85 and includes instruction, lunch, limited insurance, a regulation basketball, and camp T-shirt.

WESSON – An 11-0 run to start the game was the spark Copiah-Lincoln needed on Thursday as they won going away, 76-58, over the Hinds Bulldogs. Co-Lin was led by a red-hot Terry Morris. The sophomore guard scored a season high 32 points on 11-of-16 shooting. Morris went 6-of-10 from the 3-point line.

Co-Lin would build a 17 point lead and then see it shrink to five points, before using another late run to take a 67-57 win over the Bulldogs in Perkinston.

WESSON – Playing with more confidence than they have had in over two months, the Copiah-Lincoln Wolves and their fans could sense a victory on the horizon late in their game against Southwest on Tuesday night. A spate of missed free throws at game’s end nearly cost the Wolves the win, but the home team was able to hang on and take the 57-54 win over the visitors from Summit.
